Tuntum Housing Association is proud to announce a new partnership with Erewash Borough Council and MyPad Group, facilitated by our development agent PITCH (Nottingham Community Housing Association), to redevelop the former Galaxy Row cinema site in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire. Tuntum HA would like to give a shout out and a big thank you to the Mercure Nottingham Sherwood Hotel for their kind donation of beds. Tuntum’s heating services contractor, Aaron Services, recently announced a significant development, as of 6th January 2025, they became Sureserve Compliance Central Limited. In due course, the company’s logo and associated livery will be changing to reflect the company’s new name, Sureserve Compliance Central Limited. There will be no change in the services being provided by Sureserve and contractors will be wearing their new ID when making visits, however, if you have any concerns please call our customer services team on 0115 916 6066.

The CEC currently meets online at least 3 times a year, in the evening and you’ll have the opportunity to: Have a say on our health and safety and asset management strategies. Recommend targets for us and keep an eye on how we’re performing. Have access to our complaints information to help recommend ways we can improve. On October 26, 2024, Tuntum Housing proudly attended the Black Achievers Awards celebrating the outstanding achievements within our Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in Nottingham. This annual event was organised by Honorary Alderwoman, Merlita Bryan former Sheriff and former Lord Mayor of Nottingham. This inspiring event is dedicated to promoting positive role models, countering years of negative narratives, and highlighting the brilliance of Black men and women across Nottingham and the East Midlands. The staff briefing involved all staff watching the Tuntum 30th Year anniversary ( now some 6 years old) – which provides a great story of Tuntums journey from its Founders to the 1600-home organisation it has become. At Tuntum’s Annual General Meeting on the 26th September 2024, Junior Hemans will step down as Chair after nine incredible years of leadership at Tuntum Housing Association. Reflecting on his journey, Junior said: “When I joined the Tuntum board nine years ago, we were faced with a challenge of being downgraded to intervention status by the Regulator. In simple terms, they appointed several people to the board, prior to my appointment, having deemed that the board was not in control of the organisation’s strategic direction. Danielle, who currently chairs the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board and the Aquarius Charity, brings a wealth of leadership experience to the role. Tuntum is proud to, once again, provide the Kids’ Zone at Nottingham Carnival on the 18th August 2024. At last years’ event, parents welcomed the tent of free activities for kids, including free glitter tattoos, a costume selfie area, carnival scratch art masks, carnival colouring and sweets. Tuntum is proud to have supported Nottingham Carnival since 1999. The colourful parade starts at 2pm and is free to watch at any point along the route. You can find details of the parade route on the Carnival website. The Carnival site is open from 1pm-8pm. Entry for over 12s is £7 but under 12s are free. Only two weeks ago, we commemorated the 76th anniversary of the HMT Windrush docking at Tilbury, and rightly celebrated the significant contribution the Windrush generation have made to the UK ever since. At Tuntum Housing, our thoughts are with all those families, both in terms of our staff and customers who have been affected by the recent devastation wrought by Hurricane Beryl. The Regulator of Social Housing, the Government body that oversees social housing landlords in England, has introduced a new system for assessing the quality of homes and services provided. This new system includes revised Consumer Standards and a set of Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs) that landlords must report on. These measures allow people to understand how well landlords are performing and compare them with others. What are the TSMs? There are 22 Tenant Satisfaction Measures in total, divided into two main areas: 10 Performance Measures: These are collected through key performance data up to 31 March 2024. 12 Customer Perception Survey Measures: These are collected by directly contacting customers.
