2022: Nottingham Carnival is back!

Tuntum Housing Association are once again delighted to support the Nottingham Carnival.

Details have been announced of the event which takes place on Sunday 21st August 2022 at the Victoria Embankment, Nottingham.

There will be numerous troupes from Nottingham and around the country taking part in the colourful Carnival Parade which starts at 2 pm and is free to watch. You can find videos of highlights from the previous year’s on the Carnival website.

As before, the Parade route will start on the Victoria Embankment, head up Wilford Grove, Felton Road and Green Street before making its way back down to the Embankment via Bunbury Street returning to the Carnival site via Wilford Grove, where they will perform on the dedicated stage within the Carnival site. The complete parade should take no more than 2 hours and you can watch the parade at any point along the Carnival route.

On the Carnival site this year, there will be four music zones featuring live bands, 30+ DJ’s and sound systems and steel bands. As always, the music will include Soca, Reggae, Afro beat, Calypso, Salsa, RnB, Soul, Dancehall, Jungle, Grime, Baseline House.

There will also be trade stalls, world food stalls, licensed bars and fairground rides within the Carnival site.

Entry to the Carnival site costs £5 per person, however, under 12s are free. Discounted advance tickets are available from Gigantic and cost £4 per person (including booking fee).
