On Thursday, 25th September, we were delighted to welcome Clive Foster MBE, Windrush Commissioner as guest speaker at our AGM.
Clive stated that the ‘Tuntum story is the Windrush story’ and acknowledged how the Association has played a significant role in supporting the community within Nottingham over the last 3 and a half decades.
In her annual address, Tuntum Chief Executive, Charmaine Simei described the past 12 months as “a turning point for the association – a year defined by renewed ambition, strengthened foundations and a deepened commitment to the communities we serve.”
Ahead of the AGM, the Board were treated to a tour looking at some of Tuntum’s stock, understanding more about the challenges and opportunities presented by our operating area, and an overview of our customer needs and experience .
It was an engaging and informative session focussing on Tuntum’s, Past, Present and Future – a perfect prelude to the AGM .
Finally Danielle Oum, Tuntum’s Chair, led the AGM attendees in giving thanks and praise to Tuntum’s Director of Resources and Risk, Rafik Ghumra who all acknowledged has served the organisation diligently over for the last 10 years, and ensured the organisation has remained financially resilience during some very challenging times..
